Dr. Stone has once again been invited as a guest speaker at the EdRev Conference held at AT&T Park in San Francisco on April 22, 2017. This annual conference brings parents, students, and educators together for a day of learning on educational access for students with special learning needs. Dr. Stone will be presenting work from her book, The Better College Essay: Fitting In and Standing Out with a focus on how students who have had academic challenges can use their college essays to explain growth and change as preparation for college.

Dr. Stone recently presented on the college admissions essay to more than 80 college counselors at the international meeting of the Independent Educational Consultants Association in Boston, MA. Along with Dr. Rebecca Joseph, Dr. Stone joined admissions directors from Smith College and Syracuse University.
