Finding the right College & Major
We guide students in developing a college list and choosing a major, considering the courses they have already completed.
We work with students to explore potential universities and majors and minors suited to their interests and academic preparation. We'll provide an assessment of transfer credits and further coursework that may be needed to transfer to a new university. In addition, we'll factor in the high school academic record, SAT/ACT scores, and additional information that colleges may require on a transfer application.
Writing College Essays
We provide extensive guidance to transfer students as they write their college application essays.
Transfer applications are unique in that they require more focus on "major preparation" than freshmen applications. We assist students in providing context for their transfer application and highlighting their academic and extra-curricular experiences beyond high school. Dr. Stone is the author of the book, "The Better College Essay: Fitting In and Standing Out."
Preparation for college visits
We are experts in college touring.
Dr. Stone developed Campanile College Tours, a custom college tour program for individual families and mature students visting colleges alone. Each campus visit is designed to introduce a student to the academic program he or she will enter. Transfer students must be especially diligent in choosing a college which will lead to graduation. As an affiliate of Alpine Travel of Saratoga, Campanile College Tours is a licensed full-service travel provider - part of the Virtuoso network. We assist domestic and international students in all aspects of planning college visits including itinerary planning, air, hotels, and ground transportation.

International Students
All of our services are available to students living outside the United States. We work with students around the world including students from the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, the Middle East, and Asia. Our technology platform makes it easy to host virtual meetings and keep track of college application materials.
